Home Organization
YOU’VE GOT PROJECTS. I CAN HELP.
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
How Long Does it Take?
I book by the session with a minimum of THREE hours, bearing in mind that each client's situation is unique:
THREE HOURS can be enough to complete small projects such as an average closet or pantry.
LARGER PROJECTS are more effective for multiple sessions of three to SIX hours each.
FULL-DAY sessions are recommended with time-sensitive projects such as move-ins or move-outs.
FEE: Please inquire here.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
Living Light Through Decluttering
Whether you're looking to clear out, declutter, donate, organize, tidy up, move, set up a functional system or make life a little “lighter,” LiveLight services will set up an initial complimentary consultation with you to discuss the basics that are unique to your situation or project.
I will assess your needs and goals with questions to help give me a clear picture of them, and I will also design a plan, system, and timeline that best suits you.
Through my 15 years of experience, aesthetic sense, and can-do attitude, I aim to keep the process on track while your involvement ensures that the systems I implement are suited to your needs, habits and preferences.
We can work side by side or with intermittent input from you. When necessary, your participation can be conducted virtually via video call.
Finally, I hope that by the end, I will have helped transform your space into a place of calm and efficiency.

TIPS TO KEEP YOUR NEW & IMPROVED ORGANIZATION SYSTEMS FLOWING IN YOUR HOME
•As you find things that you no longer need, have an easy access box in a hall closet or pantry to put them in for giveaway.
•Give one or two items away each week.
•Donate clothes you never wear, or organize a giveaway clothes hamper for the homeless every winter with friends and family.
•Set aside time once a week to focus on one area at a time to keep organized and clutter-free.
•Have your kids decorate a box they keep in their rooms that they can fill with clothes or toys they no longer use to teach them the gift of giving.
•View your home and spaces as if you were a guest visiting for the first time; what would you hope would be the visual first impression your home evokes?
•Keep items stored away in clear boxes or containers so it is easier to see what they contain in the pantry, storage area or garage.
As executor of my sister's estate, I faced the unenviable task of clearing her house. I could never have accomplished this without Janet's help. She helped me to sort, to dispose of goods, and most of all to make tough decisions. She helped to keep me on task through what seemed like an endless project. She brought a good balance of decisiveness, empathy and resourcefulness to a difficult project.

TESTIMONIAL 2
We called Janet when we were moving out of our long-time family home. She was a great help. She organized, packed, cleaned, took away items for donation, and basically kept us moving forward in a positive and calming way. After 12 years, moving out of our family home was a bigger task than we had anticipated. Janet was indispensable. Her daily arrival took away the feeling of being “overwhelmed” and replaced it with a sense of “we can do this.”
Janet has also helped us organize our new house.
She has a great eye for where things should go and the setup of functional systems.

TESTIMONIAL 3
I'm so glad that a friend suggested contacting Janet for the help I needed at home. I've come to think of her as a “Genie” who grants my wishes for what needs to be done.
She is strong, capable, versatile and reliable. She has made my life more manageable by cleaning, recycling, doing laundry and windows, and making beds beautifully. She has also helped rearrange furniture, organize bookshelves and storage lockers, run errands, unplug clogged drains, and even do sewing for me. Thank you, Genie Janet!
